Avocado Hummus with Pumpkin Seeds

February 11, 2018

If you are curious about a sensual, desire boosting diet, go with the ingredients that have a long standing aphrodisiac reputation. Avocados, for example, were used by Aztecs to boost lust and pleasure. Their sensuous shape and luscious creamy texture are sure to please your senses, while the fruit’s high levels of vitamin E, can help you maintain your sexual vigor and energy.

Pumpkin seeds are are high in zinc, which is essential for healthy sperm production and maintaining healthy testosterone levels. They also contain potassium (important for your stamina) and other vitamins (B, E, C, D and K) that are crucial for a healthy libido.

This recipe contains ripe, creamy avocados, seductively flirting with bold flavors of toasted sesame seeds, invigorating lime, smoky cumin and nutty, buttery pumpkin seeds. The aromatic cilantro compliments the joyous citrusy aroma of limes, while creating that perfect contrast for the earthy and comforting taste of chickpeas. They all come together to tease and play with your taste buds, to leave them satisfied, but wanting more. This recipe can be that perfect foreplay for your sensual indulgence between the sheets.

1 large ripe avocado

1 15½-ounce can chickpeas, rinsed, drained

⅓ cup tahini, well mixed

¼ cup of fresh lime juice

1 garlic clove, finely grated

Salt and pepper to taste

¼ teaspoon ground cumin

1 cup cilantro leaves

2 tablespoons olive oil, plus more for drizzling

Toasted pumpkin seeds

A pinch of smoked paprika.
